The Tech Committee

Tech Committee (TC) members are the highest level of leadership of Computing Orientation.

High Tech

High Tech, or Orientation Chair, is a demanding role within Computing Orientation, carrying substantial responsibilities. Fundamentally, the High Tech serves as the public face and leader of Computing Orientation, overseeing the seamless execution of Orientation activities and representing Computing Orientation to the broader Queen's Community.

The Head of Operations plays a crucial role in ensuring that all orientation activities and events for new students are planned, coordinated, and executed efficiently. This position involves strategic planning, logistics management, team leadership, and collaboration with various university departments to create a welcoming and informative experience for students.

The Heads of Logistics are responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing all matters of logistics during Orientation. They attend master logistics meetings with the High Tech, attend ORT meetings, and help to create the master schedule for Orientation.

The Heads of Sponsorships are responsible for outreach to organizations to secure funding for Orientation.

Head of Academics

The Head of Academics is responsible for organizing academic-related events and initiatives during orientation. They also ensure the academic standing of all Tech Committee members and Orientation Leaders.

Head of Finance

The Head of Finance ensures the budget is available to all members of the Tech Committee at any time. They propose a detailed budget when required by the ORT.

The TECHs

TECHs are the first line of leadership within Computing Orientation. They lead a small group of new students during Orientation Week.
